Hello-- I have Bartonella Henselae(tested positive) and have had numerous relapses. Can anyone suggest a antibiotic combo with no relapsing. I'm currently on KETEK and DOXY. Has anyone used this before? Any help greatly appreciated! [Smile]

Hi Eddie,

I did rifampin and zith, rifampin and mino, rifampin and doxy.
4-6 months on the above.
Then levoquin along with lyme treatment for "clean up"

I relapsed just last month. (six months with no bart symptoms)

Now I am on a-bart and csa.

Wish I had not relapsed and wish I had some good combos for you.

Hang in there Eddie. Bart is a beast of a bug.

Here is a page from a lyme book that will give you more treatment ideas:

http://www.lymebook.com/antibiotic-treatment-for-babesia-bartonella-ehrlichia-co-infections

If you have not already done so, you can also read the Burrascano Guidelines starting on page 24:

http://www.ilads.org/lyme/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf

Burrascano also says that if a patient continually relapses, look for an untreated coinfection. So, if you have already tried the standard bartonella treatments, it may be time to consider coinfections that you have not treated.
