this has happened again. I'm getting these puffy almost like water bags under one eye. when I get up in the morning my eyes are really swollen and red.
my left eye looks like someone punched me. after a couple of hours it goes away.
I think they're called orbital edema or something. vision is not affected.
better not be a drs visit.
do you have them?

It could be caused by Allergies, very common this time of the year. Check out this site below…
I get that when I eat an allergy food at night or too much sodium. Blue Corn Chips do me in with the corn and salt.
But that is just me....Allergies are a common trigger for this but I am sure there are other things as well.
Cool green tea bags on both eyes helps to reduce the puffiness.

I think I remember reading that mycoplasma and/or Bartonella can also contribute to these...

I started antibiotic therapy (again) two weeks ago....and 4 or 5 days in I woke up looking like I had been punched in the face. It wasn't an allergy or from eating salt. It did go away after a couple of hours. I imagine it had something to do with restarting antibiotic therapy....hasn't happened since.
