I recently stopped my abx as directed by my LLMD for about a week to see if it was causing my gallbladder issues. When I stopped I started experiencing insane pain, muscle spasms and stopped sleeping through the night. The dr told me to go back on as a result.

I'm still not sleeping a week later after resuming and have a jumping out of my skin feeling, along with the pain. Have I destroyed any progress I had made?

Does this have to be the bartonella since I was only off for a week?

Thanks!

My opinion could be a withdrawal from a med when experiencing all the pain ,spasms .

I used to keep a journal of meds and supplements I was talking and what symptoms and pain I had and would rate from 1-10 and regardless if I did not take something on a particular day

This way doctor can somewhat know what could be causing your issue , and tweak your meds

he could see more of a pattern rather then going in and trying to remember ,what did what.

And works very good for any blood work you have had like a reason why your tests got better Or worse .

I would not say destroyed any progress. ,I would look at it as a setback . For myself it has always been 1 step forward 10 steps back while being treated . It was a long process for me.

I had lyme and bartonelia , for bartonelia or babesia espicaly a journal would help because from my experience you could see a pattern and notice any symptom coming on from early evening till mid morning .

Look for any unusual rashes , scratch like rashes ,purpleish skin etc that come and go and take picture . this is bartonelia related .

Bring those to your doctor the more proof you have to show is benifacl to the doctor .

I see it as the more communication with a LLMD the better an effective protocol can be established .

What is working what is not , was it a herx or a side effect , that's how a journal will help .

I took an antibiotics break and for following two years I have steadily improved without them. I doubt I will ever go back to them. They were brutal.

That happened to me the first time I took an abx break. For me it was totally bartonnella.

I was in denial until the streaks showed up.

Bart is a fast growing beast. Most abx are bacteriostatic to it-just slow it down. As soon as the abx is removed, bart goes into overdrive.

Thanks!

I've been trying to keep a journal... But I always forget to write in it! It's been over a week back on the abx and I'm still in tremendous pain.

Looking out for rashes now. Forgot to take pics when they've shown up in the past.

Hoping that it doesn't take very long for the abx to start beating this again.
