Hi!

So, I tested positive for Lyme through Igenex (CDC & Igenex positive)...triple positives on many bands.

So I went ahead and then had the co-infections test done as well. My results for co-infections just came back negative.

Is this pretty reliable? Everything I've heard is that if you have Lyme, you typically have some co-infections as well.

Is it likely to ONLY have Lyme? Or should I assume I still probably have infections even though the tests were negative?

I had a positive Lyme test. I was negative for babesia but clinically diagnosed with it. I'm responding to babesia meds so there's definitely something wrong with testing.

This thread has more co-infections to test for:

Get a good LLMD and they will treat you for coinfections to make sure you don't have them. If you respond to the meds, then you are likely to have them.

Babesia is commonly missed in lab tests. Congrats on a clearly positive Igenex test!
