my feet havebeen burning and hurting for months. now my legs feel slightly num almost to the knees.
last night I woke up with a horrendous sharp stabbing pain in the very top of my right foot. when I tried to move my toes, mostly the big one, it really hurt. wiggling them down was moderately painful but trying to lift them back really hurt.
today the bottoms hurt. the fatty part beneath the toes.
very uncomfortable.
does lyme settle in the feet cause they hurt?

Hate to tell you this, but age has a lot to do with it! So does your weight. (don't hit me!)
I have had to wear sneakers all day, every day for about 3 years now. No way I can tolerate anything else. I also have custom orthotics.
It got to where I could not walk and was housebound for about 2 years.
I'm doing so much better now. Many things helped (see above). I also was helped greatly by taking ReMag and now ReLyte. I can't do without them.
Hope you find the answer for YOU! Posted by randibear (Member # 11290) on :

Circulation, I started knowing I had circulation issue as my feet started feeling numb and then when sleeping turning bluish and losing normal color at times up the knees.
This disease ends up being cardiovascular.
DO a test and work on your feet and legs every day doing hot and cold water rushes. Meaning back and forth. Also blood thinning like low dose aspirin and enzymes and turmeric and things that help. Also make sure you walk and or exercise even if its laying on your back doing bicycle wheels. Take a hot shower before bed and massage massage massage them.
Try something like this consistently for a good week and if you notice a difference its going to be circulation most likely. Maybe some nerve damage from the disease. But since I was diagnosed with CCSVI as result of this disease I have been noticing so much related to circulation and cardiovascular.
Its worth a try. You can do it all at home.

Can it get better or go away? Or does it get worse? Same exact problem. Got really bad overnight. Awaiting diabetis test results too.

Magnesium is ESSENTIAL and most medications DEPLETE our mag. That is why ReMag worked for me. No other mag product did what it did for me.
I also take curcumin 3 times a day.

I've stopped wearing flipflops and that seems to have helped. I have good tennis shoes and bought gel inserts for high arches.
hope it helps.

You might have had "Plantar fasciitis" from the flip flops, especially if they were thin. I noticed that happened when I wore those and have stopped doing that for several years now. No more foot pain!
"Plantar fasciitis (PLAN-tur fas-e-I-tis) is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It involves pain and inflammation of a thick band of tissue, called the plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes.
Plantar fasciitis commonly causes stabbing pain that usually occurs with your very first steps in the morning. Once your foot limbers up, the pain of plantar fasciitis normally decreases, but it may return after long periods of standing or after getting up from a seated position.
Plantar fasciitis is particularly common in runners. In addition, people who are overweight and those who wear shoes with inadequate support are at risk of plantar fasciitis."

Amen, hoping ... flip flops are likely the number one cause of PF.
Glad the tennis shoes are helping, randi.

I think Bartonella also makes one more prone to developing PF & other foot issues.
I haven't been able to walk barefoot in years...gotta have my walking shoes w/ arch support inserts...

I developed foot issues, out of no where. My first symptom besides fatigue was knee pain. I thought it was an overuse injury, I iced it for weeks and took ibuprofin. I went away, then would come back. Then, I got a stabbing pain in my right foot, behind my right toe. It fit to a t the symptoms of gout, but being a young female, I knew it was not that. So i went to an podiatrist because i could hardly walk for 3 days...found nothing. X-ray was clear. I was given inserts and told to avoid flip flops.
a year later I would develop knee pain in my other knee, my right elbow, my ankles, and my hips. I can't see how its no related.
