Anyone else feel stroke-like symptoms about 4 months into treatment? I'm not sure what a stroke feels like, I guess its more of general circulation problems. I felt a lot of herxing initially with the first 2 months, was fine for a few, but this past month I've gotten worse dizziness, pressure headaches, nerve and circulation issues. Blood pressure has gone down while taking Serrapeptase, but hopefully it isn't too low...
Getting rushes of blood to the head, slight fever and chills, shakiness, tingling and numbness right after it happens accompanied with insomnia. Need to sleep with multiple pillows otherwise there is a massive pressure buildup. Cognitively I've slowed since the last month, short term memory problems. I think I'm herxing, I just want to make sure that there are no other more serious complications that would be causing long-term damage from the inflammation as a result of it. Anyone have experience with this? Its pretty scary...

All these symptoms happened to me when I stopped an antibiotic. Maybe you can switch to diff antibiotic as effectiveness wore off? Maybe you need to take binders (chlorella) that will remove toxins because the antibiotic is working? Maybe you need to take probiotic (sacccharomyces boulardii is not killed by antibiotic)/digestive enzymes to replenish the intestinal/digestive system so that your body can get nutrients?

For my wife, stroke like symptoms came from Bart treatment.
this website suggests using a pH buffer when treating for mycoplasm.

It could be proto (FL1953).

From what I've read, you only get a Jarische Herxheimer reaction from Syphilis and from borrellia.
"Slight fever and chills" sounds like when the body is reacting to an infection. Next time it happens, check your temperature.

What do you mean, pressure in your head? Or your chest?
How much serrapeptase are you taking? You can try increasing the dose to see if inflammation and pain decrease.
Shakiness may be low blood sugar. What does a "rush of blood to the head" feel like?
Tingling and numbness may be signs that the nerves need more nutrients. Is this in your arms and legs?
Do you feel dizzy when standing up suddenly? Because that is a sign of low blood pressure.
None of these symptoms sound like a stroke.

My doctor specifically told me I will herx from Mycoplasma, which I have based on my blood work. The pressure is built up in my head, tingling and numbness was in my hands and feet. My blood pressure was high at the beginning of treatment, I am less dizzy at this point. Rush of blood basically feels like I was about to black out, my heart rate shot up at that point.
I'm taking 1,000mg of Serrapeptase a day, I could potentially increase it, I'll ask my doctor. I will look into the Chlorella as well.
Thank you for responses.

"Rush of blood basically feels like I was about to black out, my heart rate shot up at that point."
When you feel that you're going to black out, you have less blood circulating in the brain, less oxygen to the brain cells. (I used to "see stars" when my blood sugar went down.) When the blood pressure goes down, the heart rate goes up, trying to compensate.
Numbness and tingling in the hands and feet is neuropathy, or nerve damage. The nerves cells need adequate oxygen and nutrients, and when the blood supply is reduced, they protest. I had numbness in my feet for six weeks, but after taking a B multiple, it got better the next day.
Consider taking a sublingual B vitamin. Also, Gotu Kola improves microcircualtion, and can help neuropathy.
Regarding the Serrapeptase, you should be able to take a much larger dose without problems. I am taking Wobenzym, a blend of systemic enzymes. When I looked up info about it, I read that doctors in Europe routinely prescribed 20 to 30 tablets to "force the therapeutic response."
When I first began taking it, I was having severe pressure headaches. When I got up to ten tablets daily, they improved. What a relief, not to wake up every day with a splitting headache!
I'm still taking Wobenzym daily, all in one dose. When I stop, the headaches and aches and pains get much worse, a sign of inflammation.
For the insomnia, I take Source Naturals NightRest. You can read reviews for it at iHerb.com and at Amazon.com.

Thank you for your insight, I'll look into those.

A lot of the symptoms you described came from babesia for me. My doc and I had been doing Lyme treatment and I was taking artemisia for babesia, but artemisia wasn't doing much.
A lot of those symptoms went away with babesia treatment with the heavy drugs like mepron and malarone. They just made me feel better, no herxing.

That's interesting Judie. I just had an appointment with my LLMD today and my blood pressure was still high. She was very concerned and told me to see a cardiologist and a neurologist. I just had blood tests taken today to check my liver, kidney, mycoplasma levels, and again for Babesia.
She put me on Mepron for it preemptively so I'll be starting that tonight. Hopefully that is the sole culprit and I won't need any high BP meds in the near future. She put me on some Magnesium powder mix and some herbal pills for it to help in the meantime. This is all in addition to VSL probiotics, LV-GB liver support, and the minocycline.
