Went to see a new LLMD who did muscle testing on me and started me on pulsed doses of Alinia & Doxy (Alinia 2 days/week and Doxy M-W-F-Sun). Though it seems like an odd way of treating Babesia I have to have faith in them bc my usual Mepron had been completely ineffective.
I have done Alinia + Doxy separately with other protocols and was ok on the Protomyxzoa - this is a new mix - can anyone tell me if they have done this successfully?
This is only my first week and I'm SOOOO sick! Words of advice? encouragement? I've gone backwards in tx and maybe Babesia is it?
thank you!!

I haven't pulsed alinia and doxy but can tell you that going off of atovaquone and taking alinia hit proto for me big time (atovaquone was just suppressing it). So even though it felt like babs, it was proto (FL1953), and the first week was the hardest.
I was miserable and had to take a break for a day or two, but jumped back on it. Once I started to knock it down though, everything came out: lyme, metals, yeast, bart, myco, mold and viruses galore.
Stick with treating proto as the biofilm it makes protects all the other bugs. Killing it causes massive herxing though, so you need major detoxing right now.

I had great success with alinia and always feel great on doxy. I never pulsed these however.
Are you treating babs and Lyme? I would add in GSE to address cyst form as doxy can push the ketes into cyst form.

My doc said doxy is also effective against protozoas, microfilarials AND the usual lyme ketes.
Which explains why I always feel so good on it.
He also said tinidazole and alinia are effective against protozoas, including babs.
He put me on tinidazole alinia and a Chinese herbal formula for babesia, as mepron and zith had failed.
Loved loved loved that protocol.

Thank you everyone! Yes, I need to detox better, ty for that reminder. Right now am just treating Babesia, though I'm told the Alinia hits Lyme as well. The doc plans to switch me to Tindamax (have been on it before)once my 2 mths on pulsed Alinia are done. I've never tried GSE, frakly scared to do so..as I herx on everything!
You are right Greta, both doxy *and* Alinia are supposed to be effective against more than one thing.. so glad you like doxy - I hate it! It makes me feel horrifically fatigued on top of how I alraeady feel!
Wow, so you did tinidazole and Alinia together? So glad it helped you!! I owe you a mail, don't I Greta? I'm so sorry I haven't written-I literally am barely hanging on!! (promise to do so when feeling better).
Really appreciate everyone's input, it's so helpful. Thank you.

I think alinia is a cyst buster.
I remember reading that GSE makes doxy less effective. I can't remember where, but you might want to research it before you combine them.

Tailfeather-don't you worry bout PMs, just keep the odd post going so we know you're OK.
Yes, I did Alinia and tinidazole together for a month with the Chinese herbs and a Byron White A-P.
After that month I felt better than I had in a long time. It got rid of the babs sweats. And crippleing fatigue.
Also as a side benefit fixed up my digestion to better than it has ever been.

Dr. H. had me on GSE and Doxy at the same time ' no issue w/ the two together.
I too had good results w/ A-P.

Thanks Greata, I apprciate it. So awesome that Alinia + Tinidazole helped you!
Judie + Desertwind, no worries, I'm not going to be starting GSE anytime soon, I have enough supps I'm taking! Thank you for your feedback and desertwind, glad you had good results!
