You said you have been diagnosed with candida. That would explain the gut pain.

Leucocytes = WBC's. This means inflammation and may be a marker for some kinds of infections that are not detected on the usual urine tests (e.g., Lyme).

My doc doesn't hesitate to prescribe an abx the minute I am symtomatic: Thank God for docs who get it. They're few and far between.

IMO high leukocytes/WBCs = UTI =. Abx

Beaches is right on. Leukocytes in your urine usually mean a UTI is present and antibiotics are the next step.

From your urine sample, the Leukocytes ARE the WBC's. A normal urine sample has a WBC count of zero. Therefore, with Leukocytes (WBC's) present, they are there to attack an infection. Normally, as Beaches stated, antibiotics are required as this means a UTI is present.

May I also direct you to double check the urine sample test and look for the 'Leukocyte Esterase' result. The normal result is negative. If, however, your result shows 'few', 'many', or any other result above zero, this is a further indicator of a UTI.

Leukocyte Esterase is an enzyme released by WBC's. In a urine test, it doesn't always mean a UTI is present but the probability is very high.

Take care,
TheWino

Call your doctor.

To prevent future UTI's .. get on D-Mannose daily. Works like a charm.
