For some reason, Abbott Laboratories has discontinued Biaxin XL 500 mg. I called them and was told that no reason was given. My guess is that it is not profitable enough.
This is a shame. Besides being a good antibiotic to treat Lyme, Biaxin works well with Mepron to treat Babesia.
