I had posted last week about problems with diarrhea. I thought I was improving but now I am having alot of problems. Strangely every morning whenI wake within a short time I have horrible loose stools. To the point I can't seem to stop going. I seriously don't know where it all comes from!

When I finally do stop going I am left with alot of gas, bloating and cramps for the rest of the day. Now I seem to be having issues with gastritis as well as I am having burning in the center of my stomach and frequent belching.

I have tried probiotics but they seemed to make things worse. My troubles seemed to start after a 3 day course of diflucan. My diet is very clean, no starches, grains, glutenor dairy.

I was recently diagnosed with SIBO and waiting to begin

treatment when my insurance approves the preferred

Hi there Ellen,

Sorry you're feeling so bad. I have some similar symptoms as you.

How long have you had Lyme? What co-infections do you have (sorry I should know this but probably haven't read through enough posts). I just was diagnosed and joined this site a few months ago.

My LLMD gave me VSL #3 (capsules) and when my diarrhea didn't improve he upped the probiotics to VSL #3 DS (powder packets). My issue was antibiotic related.

What I found helped so I could make errands and attend church was Pepto Bismol. It is not to be used long-term but helps get you thru a few hours.

Why did you take Diflucan if you were dx'd SIBO, which means overgrowth of 'bad' bacteria, not fungas.

Either way, sounds like now you have even more overgrowth of the 'bad' and no 'good' bacteria.

Concern is clostrida/c. diff. Can you go get tested for that right away? A urine OAT test or stool test too, to see what is going on with bacterias and fungas/ yeast.

I was put on dilucan to deal with candida issues. It was not prescribed for the SIBO. The recommended med for thst is rifaximin which I am waiting for my insurance to approve.

C diff is whst i thought of too but usually there is a pretty bad distinctive smell...sbc is supposed to prevent it...but if yoy do have it you need to see doc and probably go on flagyl

It can be very serious...ppl die from c diff so if it is stinky tell doc everything right away. My son had it. Good luck
