I had a bowel change about a week ago and it's still here.
Softer, more urgent feeling stools, but not watery. I'm going 4-5 times a day as opposed to 2. They are slightly more yellowish than usual. I also have rumbling down there.
This all makes me feel weak and increased brain symptoms.
I am on mino, omnicef and tinidazole, but I cut out the latter two the past couple days to lighten the load.
Wondering if I should give all the abx a rest.

Ok, today it has crossed the line into diarrhea.
My hands and feet are rather cold as a co-symptom here.
Took some activated charcoal now.

You need to get checked for c diff just to be sure. Please call your LLMD. I think you need to stop ABX until you hear from your doctor. Best wishes

Hi Kimmie,
I'll see if I can get a test for c diff soon.
I have a really hard time pinpointing the cause for symptoms sometimes and find it so frustrating!
There is one thing that makes me think it's not c diff though: these BM's are odorless. I've heard nurses often know c diff from across the room
Anyway, does anyone know what other forms of AAD (antibiotic associated diarrhea) there are? The ol internet is telling me that c diff only accounts for 10-20% of the cases, so what species account for the other 80%? Maybe the rest resolve easily without treatment.

Id want a stool test done... you can look for infections, c diff or otherwise, you can check for fats, myabe a liver or gallbladder problem. There might be trqce amounts of blood you cant see.
Also you can have c diff a lower level of infection where you do not present with more typical. If this is the case for you, you are very lucky to catch it now before it does real damage.
