Air hunger or shortness of breath is frequently a symptom of babesia - one of the coinfections often found in tickborne patients.

Also, lyme can sometimes affect the diaphraghm - don't remember which nerve it is that can be involved.

I feel air hunger too and I just have Lyme.

It's possible you could benefit from good chiropractic care if you have any spine discomfort from your upper spine cracking. I see a good one who takes care of all the crazy spinal movements!

Thanks for the help. I haven't taken any new medications since this started. I have an llmd apt on monday and I will let him know. It seems to

get flare ups, headaches or when my ears ring. Thanks Robin, I will look into that.

I hope you are right Sonatina but I'm not sure. I am on doxy for anaplsmosis but my lyme symptoms have continued to progress at the normal rate.

Not any relief for the bad neuropathy I have in my feet, twitches, headaches, ear ringing, eye pressure, neck pain, sore throat or spine pain.

My air hunger came from excess of herxes, many times. I had also babesia, and that certainly affects the way we breathe. Sometimes it is pretty hard to breathe, sometimes easier with babesiosis.

But with herxes, it got pretty scary. When I took right binders, my air hunger got much better.

Check it out with a good chiropractor. For my hubby, sometimes the symptoms are worsened by his spine being out of place.

At his last appointment he asked if the place where the nerves to the stomach was out of whack? It was! Now his gut is happier and he's hungry enough to "eat the house".

He was also having a lot of head issues - there were 3 places in the neck out of line. It seemed he was having issues because of his neck.

So sometimes some of the worsening or weird symptoms can be from misalignment in the spine.

Hubby did go through a herx after getting the adjustment. When his spine was back in line, his body could function better and decided it can "houseclean" a bunch of junk.

Drink plenty of water to help flush things out.
