On all three. What purpose is the plaquenil?

I hope you are on Actigal with your Rocephin (Ceftriaxone).

See page 18 of Burrascano Guidelines. Helps to keep you from having to get your gallbladder out (prevents biliary sludging) due to the Rocephin.

I've always been skeptical that Actigall does anything to protect against gallbladder problems from Rocephin.

Actigall is a bile acid that suppresses the secretion of cholesterol. And although usually many gallbladder stones are made up of cholesterol, in the case of Rocephin they are (from what I've read) made up of a precipitate of the medication itself. If so, I don't see how Actigall would help.

At least that's my understanding, which could be wrong. I am not a physician.

Im not positive about this but i was told plaq makes other drugs stronger

The nystatin is good and necessary

The combo is one often used by good llmds

Again...im not sure but i think there is an eye side effect with plaq and thats why i didnt take it...but i already had a number of eye problems

It sounds like a good combo....but everyones different. Maybe start slow and have support person around in the beginning

Good luck! Glad you are with good doc
