have been reading and am now sure I have cipro damage. the symptoms are so close it must be that. don't tell me it's in my head or I keep searching for something. none of this was really this bad until I had cipro for 10 days for 3 months for my dd.
my shoulders, arms, knees, feet and hips are so sore I can barely do anything. numbness and tingling, loss of bladder control, swelling in lymph all over, severe neck pain and it hurts to turn to right. horrific pain between shoulders. facial twitches and jerks.
this was all livable before I had the cipro now the pain stays a 5. or higher. did I mention constipation and lack of appetite? course it all broke loose after horrific ohio trip.
doc says oh cipro doesnt do that, you're stressed. bull.....
I'm reading horror stories about c ipro. will this go away. I've increased mag and lcarnitine. taking others too.
when will it end? would love to sleep without meds.

Hi Randibear. I have not had any personal experience with Cipro. However, at my local Lyme support meeting this week, other members issued a warning about Cipro. A well-known LLMD warned them that it can cause problems, specifically tendonitis.
I don't know if he warned them about any other potential problems. If it does not seem right to you, I would keep digging and possibly consider discontinuing the med. Some drugs can cause permanent problems.
If you want to message me, I will give you the name of the doctor.

Could very well be. Happens to a large number of those taking fluoroquinolones.
They are on my "allergy" list.
Be sure to up your magnesium .. it may help counteract the damage. Drugs like that deplete magnesium BIG TIME.
