I was reading some previous posts and have put 1 teaspoon in 20 oz of water (to start since I'm not sure how I'll react).
I cannot tolerate honey for some reason, so does anyone have any suggestions what else to put in the water?
I'm having a hard time getting it down.
Has anyone had positive results from using 1 tablespoon + of it a day?

I was using a ton of it on my salads, and I was fine. I need to go back to it though.

Are you able to buy raw honey? The honey in the stores is pretty useless. Maybe you are reacting to it because it's not real honey??
I've never been able to tolerate ACV no matter what is done to it.
Good to see you, MIT!! Posted by momintexas (Member # 23391) on :
I bet Whole Foods would have raw honey?
Is there anything else I can try to put in the water with the ACV to distract the taste?

Despite the fact that honey is an excellent source for healing, it is a simple sugar....and will act as a simple sugar. Translation: Sugar feeds lyme as well as other coinfections. I would be cautious. Something I used and still use that is immensely helpful is called AI3...a chinese medicine doctor (Dr. Z) uses this in his lyme protocols. You can get it at www.hepapro.com. It's the only thing I've used that gave me quick, consistent relief. Good luck!

I think it's helpful! I cant drink a big glass of it, though. I put a tablespoon in a cup, add water to dilute (be sure to dilute; you don't want to burn your esophagus!), and take it like a shot while holding my breath.
Lemon water is more pleasant and also helps with detox. You can add stevia to it and make lemonade--stevia's been shown to disrupt biofilms!
Epsom Salt baths are also nice, just don't go too hot on the water :-)

My husband swears it helps to stop his gout (which is an arthritic disease).
I tried it for a while, it helped to control my candida, but after, candida gets used to it and comes back almost normally.
It is awful to take it with water, but I love it in my salad, so I still continue taking it in the salads.
First day, lots of burping, funny feeling, almost nauseous. After, my body got used (the awful taste continued to be a problem though....).
I wouldn't add sugars, in my case, as I was trying to fight candida with it.
