There's a doctor in my state (NC) who treats Lyme patients and uses the Meridian Stress Assessment (MSA) at most visisits.
Here is how he describes the test: Meridian Stress Assessment (MSA) by Biomeridian is a non-invasive computerized test for assessing the overall health of organs and systems, as well as factors that may be adversely affecting your health or interfering with normal functioning.
This sophisticated FDA-cleared Class II system measures the energy of associated acupuncture meridians, energy that carries important information about internal organs and systems. During the MSA test, energy from multiple points is read by pressing a brass probe tip to the hands and feet.
A computer immediately analyzes these data in terms of which points are balanced or unbalanced and which therapeutic strategies are most likely to correct these imbalances. Specifically, the MSA’s computerized system can assist in detecting evidence of chronic infections (bacterial, viral, yeast/fungal and parasite infections), toxic chemicals, heavy metals, allergies and
intolerances—and even suggest specific treatment options to address the problems that have been identified. A skilled integrative medicine practitioner will use the MSA along with a physical examination, history, lab testing, medical knowledge and clinical judgment to help create the optimal treatment plan. MSA testing may also be used to monitor your progress and healing over time, as well as to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of supplementation and medication.
Is this the same as Energy Testing??? Don't really know what that is either...

my dr uses a similar testing way, and an excellent herbal prodocol afterward which gave me fantastic results.
I think MY DR'S way was great, but I have no idea how it compares to what your dr does.
this was just my personal experience.

this is NOT energy testing- or at least it was not with my dr.
I have had energy testing and it was very different.
in a way biomeridian or mreidian testing can be seen as a use of energy to test, but it is differnt I think.

thanks, LisaK -- good to know.
Would you mind giving an example of how the test works?

having a bad brain day today. I wil l try andmake sense.
the computer is hooked up to a machine that measures your meridian equalibrium I think. it can tell right away if you are unbalanced . you hold a copper piece in your hand and it is linked to the machine. that is how it reads.
you have to lie relaexd with no crossing of legs or arms. no metal cna be on you. no electroncs on you like phone.
then dr takes readings and types in your levels or whatever into the computer and gets a reading of what areas need help, what things are in you and functioning of organs, etc.
it can see heavy metals, but not give an exact teling on those for amounts or all kinds.
it can tell if bacteria is attacking something, and it can tell you what bacteria you have, but not which bacteria is attacking which area in your body.
I have had NEAT testing which is energy testing. that was completely differnt. that was like muscle testing- isn't muscle testing energy testing?

I've had this done. Not so sure how I feel about it. My doctor used it to try to figure out what were my biggest issues to address after lyme.
