Could it be something to do with your insurance - could they be dragging their feet because they think you don't have enough insurance? I saw in one of your posts, a reference to Medicare and that you gave up BCBS. Could that have anything to do with it? If so, maybe you could call the ct office and speak to them and say, look, Are these delays because of my insurance? If so! I just need to know what I need to do. Do I need to get more insurance? if you have Medicare, AARP offers supplemental insurance - I've heard that it's good but don't know for sure.

well I had to fill out a ton of new paperwork at the gastros. and baylor is a private hospital.

you could have a point. I was in and out in less than an hour, saw a pa not the doctor, got passed off as ibs again. no call on lab results and told to come back in two months...ggrrr

overall a very negative experience.

Have the symptoms subsided?

Now that you know one of the meds they gave you can cause the bleeding & pain . . . there are other options.

DGL is what I'd think of, after the slippery elm bark suggested earlier. Hopefully, considering dropping gluten & dairy during this critical time.

Doctors are just not going to be there for us in the way we might have thought. But there is still so much we can do ourselves - at least while waiting for the paperwork to be sorted out.

If symptoms are no better, talk to someone higher up in your doctor's office - the office manager, or (better) the top nurse to has some power to make things happen?

So you did call his office recently? No response at all?

If you talk to them you might want to ask why you were lied to.

but then, hey, i'm jus a little ole overweight white semi-educated middle class lump of type a personality y'all.

After Minocycline gave me severe gastritis, In order to heal I took Manuka Honey and Slippery Elm and switched from milk to yogurt. In a while, I was able tolerate herbs and switched to a modified version of Buhner's protocol (since I would never have been able to tolerate the volume of herbs he recommends). I went to a local health food store that has a knowledgeable staff in order to find out what to take to heal my gut. Also, I've found that sometimes when things don't work out for me, it's because I don't need to do what I was planning to do. Right now, I'm going to switch from herbal capsules to tinctures because I've developed dehydration whenever I take an herbal capsule. My body is telling me that it doesn't want any more herbs for a while.

What I'm trying to say is maybe it's time to switch from IV to a different protocol and try some something like slippery elm to try to heal your digestive system at the same time. I have no medical background and am just trying different things myself.

tulips ..

I don't think randi is on IV or any other antibiotics right now.

Healing the gut is appropriate info, however! We all need to work on that one!

nope I'm not on anything. iv sounds interesting but right now I can barely handle food let alone meds.
