During my appt she also told me that my CD57 was at 32.
I do not feel sick. I have been tired most of my life, but I am still fully functional. I am praying to God this is not lyme disease.
I am considering flying across the country to go to a famous lyme disease doctor to confirm this diagnosis. However, I figured with so many of you on this forum....ya'll might be able to tell me that this is in fact....Lyme.
If it is, I am unsure of how to proceed.
Do I go the natural way to treat it or do I need to get on some antibiotics. The doctor prescribed Ceftin for 30 days. But I do not trust her for many reasons.

That's all I would need to see in order to treat. I'm surprised your doctor ran this test if she doesn't seem to care?
I hope you can find a good LLMD to treat you. Lyme can go dormant for many years, but it is doing damage as we speak.
Since you are not feeling horribly ill, perhaps Rife or herbs would be a good fit for you.

The test was requested by my Psychiatrist in Fall 2014, after seeing my test results from this particular specialist from 2012.
She gave me the diagnosis and told me I would be fine after some antibiotics and getting my number to 120.
I asked about diet and other things I need to be doing and she seemed disinterested in providing any other information.
I was surprised by this b/c I was already reading this forum and saw how serious chronic lyme is on one's body.

Your IgG results are "lit up like an Xmas tree," as some like to say.
It's best to go see a Lyme-literate doctor. If you need referrals, you can make a thread in Seeking A Doctor. They can bloodtest you and see what's going on with your various chemistries.
I suggest you treat before you get feeling worse. Lucky you, with all that going on, to not be feeling so bad!
Many people do treat naturally too and they may do it themselves or see a Lyme-literate naturopath.
Hi - I just saw you posted again. Your doctor is not educated about Lyme disease. You will not be fine after a month of treatment - it's what they're all told to say - it's medical stand-down.
Treatment occurs in three categories: kill/deter the infection, detox, and fortify. We're all different in how we respond to anything, so the trick is to find what works for us.
The top of Medical Questions has some good stickies, including an interp of the Western Blot test.
You can also use the Search function at the top of the page to type in any word or phrase and archived threads will come up.
Re diet, you can read the Lyme Diet book. It's by an LLND - Lyme-literate naturopath.
The Lyme Disease Solution is also another good book to read.
You can watch the Lyme documentary "Under Our Skin" at www.hulu.com for free.
And Pamela Weintraub's book "Cure Unknown" explains what's going on.

For some reason, I knew ya'll would be the best place to come with these results.
The doctor wants to place me on Ceftin for 30 days, but I am afraid to take the antibiotics b/c of all the bad press about making the lyme hide.
My chiropractor has the Ultra Rife Machine and said I can rent it from her. I have no idea how to use it.
I'm also looking into changing my diet and looking into natural things.
Right now, I'm just not sure what direction to go in.
I even considered going to a clinic in Florida where they treat you with ozone and Meyer's cocktails for a few months.
There are just too many avenues ....how does one begin to choose?
Thank you to everyone who has responding to my post!

Skip the clinic in Florida.
The rife rental would be awesome. You can buy a copy of Bryan Rosner's book Lyme and Rife Machines for more information.
It's not hard to treat with Rife, but you need some background on it. www.lymebook.com
One month of ceftin will just stir things up and give you candida... so I'd just wait until you find an LLMD who can do this right.

HI Cfm:
This clearly shows exposure to the borrelia burgdorferi bacteria.
Now you have to understand there is a controversy within the medical community and if you went to the normal IDSA type MD or heavens forbid one on the Lyme committee they would indicate this shows past infection and without a positive IgM it is not positive for Lyme. I kid you not on this.
A Lyme MD, with symptoms and this result would start treating you.
A good reason to see a LLMD is they will do an exam and check for symptoms like bone pain, air hunger, night sweats, rashes, etc. The blood work just helps confirm their findings.
IMO you have Lyme as band 41 is the flagella of a spirochete bacteria (not limited to Lyme but you are positive on both the IgM and IgG) but 23-25 kDa, 31 kDa, 34 kDa, 39 kDa, 83-93 kDa are all Lyme specific which you light up like a Christmas tree on the IgG.
IgM are the antibodies produced as an early response (think 1st 3 weeks) and IgG are produced later and indicate a mature infection but these can remain even after the infection is gone.
Good luck.

PM sent for TX.
Here is a link for you to read about the FL clinic:
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.
Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com Posted by lpkayak (Member # 5230) on :
Cure unknown and dr h's book are excellent
But you really need a good llmd and you should plan to be doing treatment a few years at least
What about Missouri....thats closer . Theres a good doc there. Lymetoo or i can you you his name if you want it
Your doc does not sound lyme literate at all
You are smart to have read here...you know more than that doc already...take care. We're here when you need hekp tx can be hard

From someone who took ceftin and other abx, I wouldn't take them if I were you. They ruined my gut and it's never been the same since. I can't eat even close to what I was eating before I took abx. If I could go back in time and undo this I would.
I would however try alternative stuff like rife, ozone, asyra, pemf, mild HBOT, ondamed, Buhner, MMS, salt/c protocol, herbs, etc. I have done better with the alternative stuff than I ever did with abx. You might want to study up on Dr. K (king of alternative medicine).
Also parasites. Dr K has found them in all of his lyme patients and treats parasites first (wish I had done this). You might want to visit THE PARASITE WARRIOR'S THREAD here. Most docs miss parasites and in doing so the patient is slow to heal, or does not heal.
We are all different. Some people can handle abx, and some people can't. But if you're one of the ones who can't, you can't go back and undo the damage they do. So there is risk if you take them, just be aware. If you do decide on abx though, take tons of probiotics. My doc put me on 32 billion and it was nothing. I needed in the 100 billions).
Insights into Lyme Disease Treatment (Connie Strasheim) will give you several viewpoints from different docs. Also, Buhner (Healing Lyme) is a good herbal alternative for some.
Abx savrd me and allowed me to raise my four kids. After two-three years abx and one yr detox i was much better. Not 100% but i was infected 15 yrs before dx and tx
I now maintain with buhner and need many supplements for things lyme did to my body
In general i have seen most ppl have success with abx first and alternative stuff to maintain
There are a few who absolutely cant use abx and they need to be very strict about lifestyle changes along with alternative ways to kill infections

Print out dr b's guidelines. That and dr h's book are excellent medical support
Cure unknown will help you deal with the emotional stuff thst comes up fighting a chronic illness that mainstream docs dont understand

Fyi, some people who can't do antibiotics treat with the Buhner herbs. See his books, like "Healing Lyme" and online support groups and sites.
