Iv rocephin 4 g w IV zith 500 mg 4 on/3off x 10 months, tindamax 2 wks on//2wks off, diflucan MWF. Numerous supps, probiotics. Best of luck!

I don't think were at the IV junction yet, but its good to know beaches if it comes to that.
The "mycin" drugs seems to be a priority, as well as doxy so far on the thread. Hmmm. We've been on endless Zith and Biaxin in the past, and now have a positive CDC antibodies Igenix result.. Don't think we've been rebit, but could be wrong. If not, then they are not eradicating things for us. Haven't tried telithromycin. Also, haven't done doxy yet.
I'm wanting to give just one med. Worried about yeast and liver. Yeast is a lab positive issue, and we've been on nothing for 3.5 years. Treating that now.

Nowhere near done yet, but I've made great progress on lyme with doxy and tinidazole. The tini does a great job on my babs symptoms too.

To make clear: these have not cleared my symptoms but kept them in check the best. Telithromycin was the best but I think its only available in europe. I know an online pharmacy where you can buy it, just pm me. Its about 100 euro'for 30 pills if I remember correctly.

- Why you are "wanting to give just one" antibiotic is understood due to load but just one can do harm with bacterial resistance in various ways and that can make the infection all the more entrenched.
Some of the required treatment to address cyst form of lyme is not the same kind of Rx for the spirochete form.
If babesia is in the mix, yet a different kind of medication as well -- and it must also be a combination / rotation approach.
Still, just one antibiotic at a time can create resistance. It seems as if you do not have a LLMD guiding treatment here so I really do hope you can find one - and one who also can guide you in the gut & liver support so that treatment is better tolerated.

Keebler, I have a LLMD but the suggestion has been Bactrim and Zith, something we have been endlessly on in the past. Coupled with my concern for ears, and bladder, I feel it should be under discussion.
Worried about yeast and liver, and I am alone when it comes to liver support. Not all docs do much with this. Hesitant to bark up my own tree again...we all know where that left my family three and a half years ago, So, I want to make it as simple and safe as possible. But, Keebler, you have some valid points.

For lyme: high-dose amoxicillin with probinecid and add flagyl for the cyst form of lyme.
Use Burrascano doses.

After the initial 8 to 12 weeks on high-level "doxy"? (& Fagyl added, as tolerated, for some), I'd follow TF's recommend & go with the high-level "amoxy", for NINE MONTHS+ (to avoid Lyme relapse), BUT I'd substitute "Zith" (azithromycin) for the Flagyl here. Just my opinion!
Those that are allergic to the penicilluns should go with the Biaxin (clarithromycin) instead. And adding *some* Plaquenil in w/ any macrolide- like Biaxin- is a good idea (see Dr. B's). But have an eye-check done *first*, as a baseline reference, so that any adverse vision effects that *might* be caused by the "Plaq" (hydroxychloroquine) can be detected.
Of course, liver support, all the usual recommended supplements, & exercise *every other day* for 45 minutes+ (build up) are a given here.

Whoops! I meant to say I'd substitute 'DiFlucan' (flucanazole) in place of Flagyl in that hi-level amoxicillun protocol. It supposedly "weakens" the 'ketes, & making 'em more suceptible to the antibiotics. It affects their CT450 cytochrome defense mechanism (I may be off by a letter)... WTF that is.
