So I had my 23andme results analyzed by genetic genie and then plugged that information into knowyourgentics.com (Amy Yasko's site).

I am looking for some help with my results. I learned that my methylation cycle is compromised. Fortunately I do not have any MTHFRR Mutations.

Amy Yaskos site made recommendations with what supplements I should take to correct this. However the list is ridiculously long and ridiculously expensive. It also doesnt tell you when to take what.

I tried seeking a doctor but did not succeed and every piece of literature I read is contradicting to another one. For example it says one of my gene mutations wont let me tolerate methylated vitamin Bs but Yaskos says I need those to correct the Methylation cycle. It also says that I should take the Hydroxy version of vitamin B instead but then another source says that version wont do anything... See what I mean?

Below is a list of my mutations:

Here are your homozygous mutations as indicated in your SNP gene table above (not including MTHFR):

MAO-A R297R
MTRR A66G
BHMT-08
CBS A360A
Here are your heterozygous mutations as indicated in your SNP gene table above (not including MTHFR):

COMT V158M
COMT H62H
VDR Bsm
VDR Taq
AHCY-01
AHCY-19

Can't help with interpreting this but I do know what you mean about conflicting advice. Trying to get a straight answer on anything seems impossible.

Hey TBrown- glad you finally got on board!

Don't know if this will help, but offering it in case it might.

Thank you Tincup. The link you provided has the same problem I keep running into. Its all about the MTHFR mutation which I do not have thankfully

Might try the Tree of Life guy that someone posted about.......

Evidently for $60 he will go over it all with you.

Gotta deal w/ certain mutations first before others.

Best to read Yasko's book Autism Pathways to Recovery (applies to everyone with methylation issues, not just the Autistic), especially Chapter 6:
