We have the Austin Air air purifier in our home, but I am looking for something that could be used in my office at work. The Austin Air makes too much noise, looking for something that makes very little noise, but hopefully that has demonstrated some ability on mold.
Anyone have experience with a machine that you felt really helped or didn't really help, specifically related to mold?

I don't know if this will work for you but it's worth a try. Damp Rid from Home Depot is a bag that you hang up in a room -it removes moisture. No moisture - no mold. It got rid of the mold in my basement. It has a strong floral scent at first.

Looking on allergybuyersclub.com, they have a number of models that show decibel rating that will be too loud.
But I see Airfree brand has some that moves air slowly, without a fan but with convection, so it is silent. It does not have a HEPA filter, supposedly incinerates mold with 400 degree temperature. So the mold is broken down into harmless compenents, perhaps? I wonder how broken down they are, where they go, and how helpful this would be...
I also see Amaircare brand that does not list decibels, so either silent, or just not listed. I sent their customer service a question on decibels. But they have one built for just a room, only uses 5 watts, assume that would have to be relatively silent. This does use a HEPA filter.
That's really all I can find.
Thanks for the idea, tulips, but I don't think that will work for me. This is an office that has an A/C system throughout, so air is shared throughout the entire large building. It is not at all humid like a basement, but has more mold than my doc wants me exposed to. Also very sensitive to those yucky scents.

What about buying activated charcoal? Does that "soak up" mold toxins?

Honestly, if you are mold sensitive, you should not be in that environment.
Why can't the building management have the a/c coils cleaned by a mold remediation company - unless there's leaking pipes in the ceiling?
Sounds like they're exposing everyone in the building to health risks that will inevitably cause lost productivity due to increased sickness to their workers.
