OK here it goes.
I'm taking
Rifampin (empty stomach) an hour and a half before
my Doxy and Cefuroxime every morning (these two with food)
Then throughout the day I'm taking
1- Probiotic two hours after am and pm antibiotics
5- chewable b12 pills
3- 350mlg milk thistle pills
2- large magnesium pills once midday and bedtime
1- multi vitamin
1- vitamin D pill

I know I have to space out the rifampin and my doxy a bit. Also my magnesium at least two hours after my antibiotics. Do I just space out as best I can for the others. Do I need to be concerned about taking anything else close together????

It looks ok to me [Smile] All these meds we have to take really complicates things in life!

What kind of b12 are you taking? Mine is sublingual.

Are you taking any sort of anti-yeast medicine besides the probiotic? You might want to consider taking Florastor or the equivalent.

Also, diflucan is good for candida prevention, but that maybe should be taken away from the florastor since it kills yeast, and florastor is actually a good colonizing yeast that drives out the bad yeast.

Just thought you might like to consider other anti-yeast supplements along with your probiotic.

I don't mean to add more overwhelm potential to your arsenal, though!

I really like the milk thistle, too. And the magnesium is great for my sleep, I believe.

Oops! I forgot.... I'm also taking a grapefruit seed pill a couple times a day for the yeast/cist buster.

"large"? probably best to keep it under 500 mg per dose.

Best to have magnesium at least 3 x day [but food counts, too].

Less often (or too high a dose at one time) can stress kidneys and also not offer adequate magnesium absorption. It moves through pretty fast.

If that is not possible due to timing and spacing of others, just be certain that you have magnesium in every meal. You can easily search for which foods are rich in magnesium & find charts that have already calculated for you the mg per serving amount.

Food sources are actually better for the basic nutrient load, anyway.

Goose, I am just starting my herbal and abx regiment. Why do you take your magnesium 2 hours after abx? Does it interfere with absorption?

Keebler, how much magnesium is too much? I don't want to hurt my kidneys. They do so much important work on my behalf! Is 1500mg daily is pushing too much?
