I was diagnosed with silent reflux (LPR) last year.
The Dr. gave me Dexilant which has done nothing.
I've quit taking Dexilant since it hasn't helped.
I did the acid test to determine if I was producing enough acid which I'm not.
I used baking soda and water to do this test.
I've tried HCL, Glutamine, Marshmallow Root and probiotics with no success.
Could I be dealing with tons of yeast?
I know my gut needs to be repaired since I've had C Diff more than once.
My symptoms are constant burping, mucus in throat, throat pain, constant clearing of throat and some times feeling like some thing is stuck in my throat.
Does anyone know how I can heal my gut?

Tick alert....
Is it possible these are just actual symptoms caused by a co-infection? I have several of these and they were actually some of my first symptoms (so it had nothing to do with yeast). No meds helped either bc it wasn't related to acid, reflux, etc.
I've actually let several people alone the way who have/had these because of bartonella.
Are they new for you or did they start when you got sick?

I have some of the same symptoms. I started taking S Boulardii which is used for C Diff but it didn't help me so I'm
taking Phillips Colon Health now and everything is OK. For mucous in the throat I empty 2 sugar packets in my mouth
before eating and it prevents any mucous forming (even if they used MSG on the food). If I eat at home I don't have a
problem with mucous. For clearing the throat, I drink more water. I hope some of this will help you.

tickalert .. yes, it could be from yeast .. for sure. I would make sure you have a clean diet and to take plenty of quality probiotics. Do you take s.boulardii??
tulips .. You consume two packets of sugar??? Oh my word!! I hate to think how bad your gut health is!

tickalert, maybe look in to the GAPS diet to rebuild your gut? GAPS focuses heavily on probiotic and gut wall healing foods to restore the gut and gut flora. In any case start from the introduction diet if you wish to follow it.

Is it yeast? The dead give away for me is I herx on any kind of anti fungal. Do you get worse with sugars? Do you herx when you take antifungals?
If I eat carbs I get a lot of congestion and am spitting clear-whittish phlegm. When Im strict on the diet I hardly spit

Three years ago I had a kidney infection and spent four days in the hospital. Apparently, I contracted a c diff infection and have had it all this time. Since I didn't have the usual diarrhea, all I felt was progressively more fatigued as time went on. It wasn't the profound fatigue of Lyme, but I knew something was "off" so I went to a functional medicine doctor.
She did all kinds of testing and found the c diff and major gut dysbiosis. I've been working on healing my gut under her guidance for 3 months now. Basically, it's herbs to kill the infections and probiotics later in treatment (I have started them) to rebuild good bacteria. When I start showing symptoms of this being more under control, she'll retest to see where I am.
The testing also showed my gall bladder needed support and that I was having trouble detoxing.
The 3 day stool test showed exactly what was wrong with my gut so it took out the guesswork. I also had the Array 10 testing to see what foods were contributing to leaky gut.
You can try doing it by guesswork, but a functional medicine doc might be a help if you don't figure it out.
