Hi guys, planning to start Babesia treatment soon. I have Microti thankfully so I'm hoping to cure myself of it within ~5 months.
My plan is to take Malarone every day plus either Artemisinin Mon-Wed. and Cryptolepis Thurs-Sun. I'll do this every day for 5 months. Is this "overkill" given the two strong herbs and Malarone or does it seem like a reasonable plan?
I'm saving Mepron as a backup incase this doesn't work.

I took malarone and mepron together for a few months. For me that was overkill, but it did do something.
Artemisia at high doses for 8 months didn't even make a dent in babesia for me.
Good luck. I don't know what you're doing is overkill.

I don't think it's overkill. Whatever works! Why 5 months?

You need to have zith in there also.
And, the dosage of Malarone needs to be high.

TF, I was trying to avoid antibiotics as to spare my gut further harm, it's already very messed up. Is the Zith necessary? I thought Malarone could be taken as a standalone non-antibiotic drug for Babesia.
Also what dose of Malarone is considered "high"?
Catgirl-I just chose 5 months because I figured that would cover the lifespan of red blood cells assuming my treatment was working...
Any suggestions for making sure the Babs is totally gone post treatment? Negative Igenex FISH [mine is positive], red pinprick spots disappearing?

Does anybody know the specifics of babesia replication? I'm trying to devise a safe and effective strategy. I don't want to have to use toxic drugs too long, and I don't want to give the bug a chance to regenerate when I rotate meds.
