I'm wondering if my LLMD has chosen the most powerful protocol for my infection. Currently on Azithromycin and Mepron as well as Grapefruitseed extract.

Chinese herbs, IV anti parasitic and light therapy sound interesting.

Sounds like he's doing what most LLMD's do & start off small but it looks like you have lyme definitely by your blot. Looks like he's going after babesia.

Yet, with the GSE and Azithromycin, lyme will also be affected. The herbs may round out some attention to lyme as well.
The anti-parasitic herbs may be anti-protozoa in nature (in addition to helped against babesia) may also affect the cystic form of lyme (as Rx flagyl is often used, sometimes later on).
The GSE is intended to help break through biofilm. A very good thing to include.
The herbs are likely liver protection. Just be sure always - always - to protect your EARS as well as your liver.
Especially with azithromycin, ears must be treated with tender loving care, not just with liver / kidney support but also with behavior.
Protect your ears from even moderate sounds with ear plugs &/or decibel-rated special muffs like you would find in lawn care departments.
Even a hairdryer can cause hearing damage to everyone - anytime but especially with certain Rx. ear plugs even with a hair dryer. Muffs with blenders, vacuums, lawn or power tools, etc.
Avoid loud / crowded events (or be sure to take dB rated muffs as ear plugs may not be enough) and avoid music ear buds. This really matters. But, really, it's just good practice for everyone's hearing protection.

after I was cleared for that then I got my next treatments. it worked well for me

Please bear with my newbie questions... Babesia is something aside from Lyme? The protocol I'm currently on is for Babesia but not for Lyme? If Babesia is to be treated first then which drugs wil be used for the Lyme. I'm seeing my LLMD this week. I want to ask the right questions. Thank you all for your postings.

Yes, babesia is a separate infection from lyme. It is found in ticks so often that it is called a lyme coinfection.
Nearly everyone with lyme also has babesia and bartonella.
There are quite a few antibiotics that are used to treat lyme, so your doctor has a number to pick from.

I recommend that you read and STUDY this document so that you will understand what your lyme doctor is doing and why.
Getting an education on this disease is the best thing you can do for yourself. Lyme is extremely complicated and is generally one of many diseases the tick bite gave you.
Each disease you got has its own medications to treat it.

Yes, babesia is a different infection also from a tick. Usually a person gets a few different infections that require different protocols.
