I found that inderal was really helpful for social anxiety in group situations, but since asthma has returned and am on singular and ventolin inhaler, it is not recommended, since it can cause asthma meds not to work.
Does anyone deal with this and has anything helped other than going on something like Zoloft full time. Thanks,

- patty,
I'm not able to type much now but this question takes me in as due to sensory dysfunction, I simply cannot be in most kinds of social situations.
So, naturally, I wonder when I hear others with similar symptoms whether some of the things that have . . . I have to stop now, sorry. hands demand it.
I hope this makes sense as to why I post it when you read about how inner ear, etc, may be part cause, etc. Similar concerns here and
the inhalers could also contribute to adrenal stress and that, in turn, to anxiety. Be sure to look at adrenal detail. Good luck
Some "accommodation" suggestions here -

- If it really is more social, you might enjoy (relatively speaking) an improv class at your community college, etc.
I used to teach public speaking and loved seeing the students get more comfortable just sharing and being connected to each other.
I'm thinking that maybe if you contact an instructor for some kind of theatre group, you might get some good ideas for ways to start off in a dark corner watching others and then join in at your own comfort. -

Personally, I would go with a tricyclic before an SSRI.
