I had heard about themography but did know exactly how it worked. Then I had a friend tell me about her scan and I decided to have one instead of a mammogram.
I chose to have a scan from the chest up which included my head. Since I was paying out of pocket, the chest up was least expensive.
What I was told and also what I saw with my own eyes were, my thyroid was sluggish, there were bright orange and red colors hot spots, in my mouth in the same area that I had had root canals.
Also, on my back under my shoulder blade was a hot spot. I was very surprised @ that because I have no problems w/my shoulder. The ND said it was probably where lyme was.
Like many of you, I have always wonder if having root canals are hindering my recovery. The ND's opinion was there was an infection in that area.
But according to my biological dentist, the CT scan didn't show any infection. So, now I wrestle with the decision to have my beautiful but dead teeth extracted. One is very close to the front and thats the one I am so depressed about.
However, my boobies are just fine !!

- I'm surprised they could do the head. This was probably 15 years ago and maybe the technology has changed. They did go up to the neck but not to the scull area.
Themography hot spots can also be showing scar tissue. Be sure to consider that as well. This was very evident and made a lot of sense with mine.
The inflammation the hot spots pick up can be from a variety of causes. Lyme may be "in" one place that is more inflamed but, generally, it's not going to be just there but all over.
The hot spots can also be due to muscle tightness. -

Hi Keebler,
Scar tissue sounds logical. Wonder if a root canal can cause scar tissue? From what the ND told me, the hot spot in my shoulder was not from muscle or tendons. It made sense to me because I have no pain there. Who knows and that is so frustrating !

- Any incision leaves scar tissue. Any kind of hit or bruise from years past can, too. -

- The scan is most helpful to know where to do acupuncture or massage, actually . . . where circulation needs some help. And, with the shoulder, maybe where posture might be assessed for best circulation, too. "Hot spots" could be years of posture that is not the best showing up. -
