Hi Gang
I have it again , the choking from what I call the flapper valve not sealing off my lungs.

Doctor calls it Oropharyngeal dysphagia.

With costrochondritis. (Sore sternum) and ribs.

My throat burns like I drank something to hot.

The burning wont go away after 10 days.

Cold then hot back and forth.

I got another specialist appointment Friday.

This bites because I am supposed to drive to Wyoming very soon for 3 weeks.

I can't figure out what is causing it.

Lyme?
EBV?
Strep?
Some strange deer disease I get in the wildlife area were I hunt? Like purple tung crossing over to humans?
Yeast infection?
Esafageal cancer?

I had this in Feb. and March , it slowly went away but not completely.

What is this crap??????

Any news clothes or textiles in your home? Lots of chemicals / dyes there.

Be sure all fuzzy items are out of your way (bath mats - a cork mat is better for lungs) . . . fuzzy stuff in bedroom really rough on lungs, too.

Hi Keebler
Nothing new,I am chem. sensitive so I am very careful of them.

I use very few if any Sented things. I do like the apple Dawn dish washing liquid.

I have been using tons of DEET I bought the spray kind just before this all started instead of the pump. Now I wonder if inhaleing the spray is the problem.

Maddog those are my sx

Started with reflux(burning) if you cant control it with diet or meds it can get worse and unfortuneatly lead to esophageal cancer. Not a goid thing to have.

I went frim burnung to choking to waking up at night with vomit in my mouth

That got me backbto specialust. I was afraid i would choke and die in my sleep. He said i wouldnt

But he did endoscopy and dx me with barretts esophagus. Which is pre cancerous

I have to stay awy frim foods that bring burning, take meds that stop burning and sleep with head raised

Do whatever you have to do to keep burning away. Its a bad cancer

For me costochondritis is more left over lyme and magnesium and or muscle relaxant takes care of it

some of these symptoms do sound like bad reflux. I've had it about a year. The acid can come up and aspirate into your lungs. the burning can be damaged tissue. Do you have a hiatal hernia? that can cause your valve not to be able to close properly

Have you had an endoscopy or swallowing study? I couldn't tolerate the acid reflux meds, not supposed to be good for you anyway. I sleep with my head/torso elevated on several pillows, avoid triggering foods(especially acidic), and use baking soda and water when I have to.

Also might want to look into the role of pepsin in reflux. it's a digestive enzyme than can attach to your throat tissue during reflux, then activate when acid comes up or acidic food comes down. another way that your throat can be damaged.

In a cat scan while drinking barium they found a restriction in my esophagus way down in there. The doc. wants to do the endoscopy and blow up a baloon in there to stretch it.

That only makes food stick in there sometimes,it isn't the cause of the choking.

look into "eosinophilic esophagitis"

Mold exposure is a known cause of Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Airborne allergens can aggravate the condition. See http://apfed.org for more info.

Parasites are also known to cause Eosinophilia in tissues, leading to sensitivities and allergies.

I have had reflux after eating a lot of foods. It progressed to the point where my throat would fill with phlegm and I would have to go into the bathroom and try to throw up the food in order to get rid of the phlegm. I've also had sinusitis with mucus

blockage for 3 months now so I decided to try to get rid of excess mucus, phlegm and biofilm from my body.

For Biofilm, I've started taking less than 1/16 tsp of Xylitol 1xd, once or twice a week (a very small amount) to get rid of biofilms. Taking more Xylitol will give a person diarrhea.

For Mucus, I've gone dairy free and eat fresh fruit and vegetables every day. In addition, per Stephen Buhner's book on Bartonella and Micoplasmas, I'm taking Houttuynia tincture 2xd to 3xd to cut back on Micoplasmas.

And, it's working. My sinusitis is practically gone and I can breathe again (most of the day). And, I have much less biofilm and I've only been religiously doing this for about a week now.

I don't know if what I have is what this post is talking about. It could be similar.

Hi Tulip.

I was wondering is the excess phlegm caused by Mycoplasma? You mentioned the excess phlegm in a post.

My daughter gets the same things sometimes and we thought it was from food intolerance.

Take care, Jane

Hi Maddog.
So sorry you are going thru this.
For me it is 200% bartonella plus Lyme that caused this.
When I treat Bart it goes away. Take care. Drive safe on your trip
