Hello everyone,
I got big help from this website for my wife back in 2009. We had been to 3 LLMDs because one of them told my wife after 9 months of treatment that she has Lyme symptoms but not aware of a tick bite so switched doctors. And, the second one treated her with aggressive antibiotics for 2 more years, and she started to feel better. So, he told her she has been cured. At that time we didn't realize that her cognitive function is really damaged. She can't pay attention/focus, reads but not able to retain, and takes longer periods to read but her comprehension is really bad. Can you guys please suggest a good lyme doctor in MD area.
Thanks!

I also forgot to write that she used Homeopathy for 8 months and this same doctor treated her for Thyroid also. So, this doctor tells my wife to get the methylation test but I was just wondering how addressing this will enhance my wife's cognitive function.

Welcome back!

I would recommend you also post in "Seeking a Doctor" and title it "Need LLMD in MD".

PM sent for MD.

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/MarylandLyme/info

Maybe they can help.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups info):
www.lyme-aware.org/maryland.html

http://www.lymenet.org/SupportGroups/UnitedStates/Maryland/

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.

To do this, click on the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.
