Even though I take Vitamin E and Folic Acid each day, I still have RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) at night. Is there any dietary change I can make

so that I don't have RLS anymore?

Check the side effects of each med you take. I found that hydroxyzine and trazodone were causing RLS for me.

Salicylates in foods and meds can also cause it. No more RLS for me!

Thanks. That's something I wouldn't have thought of. It might be related to one of the supplements I've started taking recently.

Hope you can figure it out. Extra magnesium may help too.

Mag takes it away for me. I like to use CALM mag for rls...it seems to work the quickest

Check iron level, as well.

Sure can be torturous.

Getting up and walking around will buy you about ten minutes relief when you lay back down, not great but sometimes you need a breather.

My old stand by 5htp and l theanine calms things down some.

Check the foods you are eating in the evening especially. Many people are very sensitive to foods with salicylates.

Thanks everyone for your consideration and excellent advice. I'm beginning to think it may be because I've been taking a little Xylitol to clear biofilms but have learned recently that Stevia is just also effective and there are some questions about Xylitol. So, I'm going to try Stevia for a while.

I got restless leg syndrome with my lyme and it was accompanied with stabbing pains in my things and as I treated the lyme and was getting better from it the restless leg got worse. I treated over all with rife but the leg thing got worse.

I tried MMS and it went away after 28 days of use but returned after two weeks.

I was advised on a rife forum to try treating for mycoplasma. I did so and had immediate results. No longer have restless legs... took only a few weeks to go away with rife.

You know - that's interesting. I started taking L-argentine (for Bart & Mycoplasma) it's only been two or three days, but my RLS didn't bother me last night.

L-arginine?

Posted by tulips (Member # 44773) on :

L-arginine is listed on the Bartonella Core Protocol in "Healing Lyme Disease Coinfections" after Japanese Knotweed and EGCG with quercetin. Mycoplasmas scavenge L-arginine from the body. But L-Arginine can also be replaced by eating certain foods. Just thought I'd try some other supplements for Bartonella.

I was just making sure what you meant by "L-argentine."
