I was not really a believer on it... I never saw any worm coming out after DE intake.

But I have to confess that it is working for my cat!!

I'm giving one very full spoon (coffee spoon) to it every day, mixed in her food or fresh cream.

She was in a miserable state not long ago (let's say, about 2 months ago).

She had nematodes coming out (I trapped some in a jar to test the DE on them), well, not nice. I could see them almost on a daily base on her fur or on her tail.

Her fur looked awful, not shiny, and she lost a lot of weight despite eating a lot.

I used to use a chemical killer, that used to work in the past. This time, it didn't work.

So I decided to use the DE to see. It did kill the nematode in the jar after about 10 minutes (it sort of stopped moving about).

It took sometime to see the effect, but now it is clear: I haven't find a single nematode in the last month, her fur looks great, shiny. She gained weight again.

So I guess, at least for nematodes, it killed them! I may give it a try again then. I think the trick is that, we have to take it DAILY, on a right amount, and wait more at least one month to see if you see any changes. [Big Grin]

Good luck then, Brussels. Please report back on it.

You have to go slowly though. It made me break out in a horrible painful rash last year. I haven't been brave enough to try it again.

I used less than 1/2 tsp per day....two days in a row.

I have started using this, not yet daily though. I am increasing slowly. Right now I am using it every other day.

I used to take DE a tablespoon or two at a time, but have a hard time sticking with it due to taste. Going to try capping it. I haven't been doing much for parasites lately, so looking to get multiple benefits from this.

Hi Brussels! You may want to try Humaworm.

https://humaworm.com/Herbal_Pet_Wormer.html

DE is good but it may not have an affect on other types of parasites. Make sure anything you use is specifically for cats. Some things that are anti-parasite can be harmful to cats.

Sparkle, hi!!!

Long time no read you!

Do you think humaworm pet can be used for CATS???

She looks pretty good now, my cat.

but I would also love to try something else, just to be sure. She doesn't come INSIDE the house, but I'm pretty sure she can transmit some worms to us, as she's always around.

thank! And how are you doing lately??! I hope you're fine!!

Yeah - I took a hiatus for a bit... I was thinking about you & someone sent me a link to Lymenet & here I am...

I have used Humaworm on my cat. It's OK for cats. I don't think he has parasites, though. He stays indoors. He didn't like the way it tasted so I haven't forced it on him lately. I didn't see any parasite activity when I gave it to him.

Toxoplasmosis is pretty common but alot of people and pets probably are infected. It's also in pork. I read somewhere that about 75% of all Germans have it. Who knows about the US? I don't know if there's anything that gets rid of it or if it's worth treating.
