Well, you have Lyme .. and your immune system may still be functioning well since you had so many bands show up.

A weak immune system would not be able to register a strong antibody response.

How bad are you feeling? Is this an acute (new) case or have you had it for a while?

If it's acute, then call the LLMD and see if you can get in earlier due to a cancellation. Also, you could see if there is a Lyme-friendly integrative doctor who could at least get you on some meds until you can get in with the LLMD.

Thanks Lymetutu. You have been a big help!!

Hi WPinVA. Two wks ago I found out That the synovial fluid from my very stubborn knee effusion is Lyme positive.

My family Dr. put me on ABX same day. Very next day I made an appointment with the specialist who one of my Lyme stricken friend suggested.

My fever, hand tremor and GI symptoms got worse first and then got much better. Knee is also better.

I think it is chronic because symptoms started 7 months ago on and off.

I was being treated by a Rheumatologists as per my symptoms and lab results.

Thanks for the tip. I will start calling Dr. office for cancellation availability.

I will call my family Dr. tomorrow and find out what he plans on doing till I have appointment on Jan 20th.

Thanks

Definitely call the LLMD and ask if there are any cancellations. Call every day if you have to! People have gotten in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/PennsylvaniaLyme/info

Maybe they know of a Lyme-friendly doctor who can help you while you wait to get in to see the LLMD.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups info):
www.lyme-aware.org/pennsylvania.html
www.lymepa.org [Note: they are very knowledgeable]

Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems form Lye.

To do this, click on the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.

Be sure to protect your gut with high quality probiotics. Take them at least 2 hours away from the abx.

So far with my knee and other symptoms I was very unorganized and week. Since I am feeling so much better now I am starting on fermented vegetables (made two jars yesterday)

I am also starting to take coco Kafir and antibiotics starting today.

Would like to know what brand is good quality probiotics.

Thanks.
Romi
