So besides the physical symptoms of dizziness, brain fog, twitching, night sweats, etc...which one is responsible for the anxiety/panic?

This is the symptom that is the most frustrating to me and really makes me unable to live life/work.

I never tested positive for bart. Just babs and lyme. But I used to get this every three week cycle of fibro like pain in my hip muscles, calves, buttocks and feet that lasted 2 days. It started after I took a high dose of grapefruit seed extract.

I do not have money to see an LLMD, so I am self treating. I have seen several LLMD's in the past but never liked the antibiotic route. I have a rife machine and erchonia laser and some herbs.

In your experience can babesia really cause anxiety/depression? I am just trying to focus on which TBD to hit.

Thank you!!

Babesia can cause severe anxiety and depression.

I hope your symptoms ease up very soon.

Thank you both! Maybe I will just start treating one of them for a bit and then add treatment for the other and see what happens.

i have lived a life filled with anxiety since birth, which was recently confirmed by genetic testing to be caused by genetic varients!

BUT.... when I got these diseases it got 10000000000 times worse and I almost had to be hospitalized- maybe even should have been a couple times.

that being said, once I ws tx with abx about 80% of it went away and that was only while on doxy. I think they ALL can make you more anxious and if you are a case like me genetically, then you will probably see a permanant increase in anxiety since this stuff can mess you up for life, unless you find a genetic person that really knows their stuff.

that is just my opinion.

yes, living with anxiety is horrible. I hate it. and I especially hate when people tell you to "relax" orthat some food will make it better. because it won't. and no magic pill will either if you have genetics for it like me.

good luck

Babesia in a very big way. Also, Zithromax for treatment can cause anxiety. Check out some of these reviews if you're on Zithromax:

I would say Babs, too.

LymeNotLymes, I looked at a couple of those reviews... and I wonder if the Zith stirred up an asymptomatic Babs infection that they don't know they have. Kinda like it let the lion out of the cage.

According even to the CDC, there are people walking around with Babs that have no clue they are infected because they are not symptomatic. Imagine what happens when they take Zith (for a different infection) and it stirs up the Babs, but doesn't kill it. WHOA! And they have no idea what hit them! [dizzy]

From the CDC website:

"Many people who are infected with Babesia microti feel fine and do not have any
symptoms."

Don't misunderstand me, ABX definitely have side effects. It's just that I feel that sometimes what people are claiming are side effects from ABX are actually symptoms from messing with an unknown infection(s). In other words, upsetting the homeostasis of/between their bugs.

Anxiety is on the list for parasites. Google parasite symptoms and check out Humaworm symptom list

Good point! I didn't even think of the fact that it could be stirring up a latent infection. Interestingly though, the old reviews of the brand name Zithromax did not include side effects of anxiety. It seems to be a problem with the generic. Quite a few of the reviewers mentioned not having a problem with the brand name.
