I would not do it. My doc replaced omnicef with ceftin due to some unpleasant GI side effects. I had better luck with Ceftin. I think if you took both together, it would be like doubling your dosage. Also, I remember the pharmacy contacting me to make sure I was not taking both.

Yes, they are in the same family. That is why it would not be a good idea to take both...
