A new doctor I'm working with has a protocol for me involving antibiotics, anti parasitics and anti virals. It starts with using diflucan for a few days. I likely have a lot of candia/fungus in my body.

Any ideas what to expect with diflucan? Is it a gradual drug, should I drink lemon water after taking it?

Thanks

Gradual??

Do expect a herx if you have candida... most everyone has it to some degree.

Be sure to cut back on sugary foods and simple carbs.

Hear that. I haven't dealt with herxes in a while. Guess I'll treat and detox if needed.

I have taken it a few times, the first time for three months along with Doxycycline (and several liver tests)..

It didn't seem to cause me much of a Herx and does bring down candida levels. It is also said to have activity against Borrelia. If you were worried about its effect on the liver, you could take it every other day, which is how one doctor prescribed it for me.

It doesn't give me herxes, but we all react differently. I take it regularly, along with an aggressive antibiotic and anti-malarial regimen. I do get my my liver and kidney levels checked every two weeks, but as stated, I'm on an aggressive regimen.. I alternate it with itraconazole.

I would try to ensure that you drink plenty of lemon water.

Thanks. If once every day is still effective I don't see why not. I guess I'll give it a try this week and keep some lemon water on hand if needed.

Some of my worst herxing was/is with Diflucan - be sure to detox and Molybdenum is good for helping body to get rid of candidas die-off.
