Hi, I have been on Diflucan for a little over a week. I am more tired than usual, but also notice that I cannot think clearly, feel depersonalized, and somewhat depressed.
Does this sound like a Diflucan herx?

Diflucan can tax the liver ,also it is rumored to have effect on borrelia...hope someone chimes in with more

My LLMD has me on it for candida and also because it crosses the blood brain barrier. I don't know if it can cause a herx reaction.

It's probably from the die-off of the candida. Do what you can to detox. If the symptoms get worse, contact your doctor.

Yeast herxes are wicked (agree with Lymetoo). It may also be a combination of whatever else you're taking with it (abx?) along with the die off.

I felt better on diflucan than anything else.

Are you taking something to help your liver? Like milk thistle?

fluconazole inhibits cortisol production... which could be responsible for some of its effects, as well as increased inflammatory responses...

I'm only taking Diflucan so any effects are from that. I do take detox baths but should be taking milk thistle. Thanks for that suggestion.
Interesting fluconazole inhibits cortisol...
Aside from this my left over symptoms seem to be strange hormonal things like more hair on my face and my eyebrows not growing. Strange...

So, after being on this for about 3 weeks, I noticed it must disrupt my hormones in some way. Not that its a bad thing.
I began to get hairy! Yes, my face is fuzzy. But it did something else to my menstrual cycle by making it come earlier. However, I usually have very painful periods and since being on Diflucan they have been great!!! How can this be? Hitting an infection or doing something to my hormones?
It's very interesting because painful, long, heavy periods with lots of clotting have now become much more normal. Any thoughts?

It might have killed a bunch of bad yeast in your uterus/vagina. I was just reading one of Brussel's posts (good yeast can easily shift over to the bad yeast form--maybe you're free of that now).
Below came from one of Brussel's posts (pe1 thread):
. . .
If you understand how candida works, it could change the whole way you see these pathogens!
the SAME candida that is beneficial to your gut CHANGES to become PATHOGENIC. And you can see it in the microscope.
It becomes a horrid critter, that harms. Even the shape of candida in the microscope is scary.
But in the beneficial form, it is non-aggressive, cooperative, a total different shape!
Google Enderlein, candida, pleomorphism.
