I have personally found that azithromycin does not cause a herx for me. It is not the best choice because of chest pain.

Are there any other abx that are notably tolerable as far as herxing goes?

What about omnicef ceftin or any that could wipe out strep?

Not as far as I know.

Most abx make people miserable one way or another.

I can tolerate better amoxicillin and bactrim.

It depends on what you're treating - if you use herbs, I've found that the Herxing is very mild.

I tolerated clindamycin very well. I took 150mg 2x/day. It took my fibro pain down to zero. I took it for 5 years and then it stopped working. It's bacteriostatic, not cidal, meaning it stops the rna replication but does not kill the bacteria. I took it because I'm allergic to everything else.

I never got C diff from it, but I did get C diff from erythromycin once.
