My daughter is being treated for Bartonella. She has had small red bumps on her legs since last summer that the pediatrician really hasn't known what they are. When we saw Dr. J they happened to be down that day, so he didn't really get to see them. After starting her newest med the "dots" as we call them are back and redder and multiplied. Anyone have this happen? Mostly on thighs, but some on torso, and lower legs as well.

Bartonella can cause various rashes. When you start treating it, the treatment can cause it to flare.

You can post a picture of the red bumps and you can also look at these pictures of rashes to see if you see something similar:

What meds is she on now?

Have her drink water with fresh lemons squeezed into it all day long.

Also, she can take Alka Seltzer Gold with some lemon squeezed into it 2-3 times per day.

These things can help so much and they can work quickly. People are amazed how well they work.

When I was treating, I made lemon water my only drink. This way, I was detoxing continually. My doc wanted me to eat 4 lemons per day, but I never got up to that many. I ate 2.

Lemons are a natural cleanser and water flushes everything out. The more she drinks, the better she should feel.

THank you! Unfortly it is hard to motivate her to drink when she feels so crappy...13 is a tricky age for all this...not that any age is good by any means, it is difficult for her to take more "yucky" stuff when she is feeling so icky. I think I will try to ALka Seltzer Gold, had been holding off on buying it as I didn't think she would take. She is taking a two day break from the Rifampin, hoping it helps things level off.
