I have a friend that has tested positive for Lyme, bart, and babs and has been treating this for years.
For the last year, they have been getting sick to their stomach after almost every meal.
The doctor has no clue and he's been for soooo many tests with a gastro and they are finding no reason for this.
Is this something any of you have encountered with lyme? I never had this symptom so can't comment.
Is it perhaps a different co-infection not getting addressed or what path would you take. This is not from a certain med since they have been on so many and right now it's only herbals. Comments?

Two thought..i think when we clear flora things can proliferate. .for me it was giardia and ascaris ..regular test from gi were useless. .
second i think a bodys response to let bacteria in bowels is to reduce stomach acid ..i needed hcl and enzymes and food is still having a hard time being digested ...
i dont think we understand the microbiome of the gut at all..there are 400 organisms ..probiotics have what 30 tops ?

Bluelyme, I understand it could be so many things but when doctors have no clue, but yet, he's still getting sick to his stomach, it has to be frustrating.

Keebler, Most of what I've seen him eating has been gluten free, but it's surely worth bringing up. Thanks for another insight.

My sister in law has what the docs have labeled spontaneous vomiting sydrome ,after yanking her gall bladder and it still being persistant ..she has gotten into the habit of eating a ginger pill before meals .
I would suggest the hcl and enzymes (health food store ) and also some parasite testing ..here is one and pm if you would like the name of another ..

WPinVA, Yes, they did allergy testing on him too in trying to rule things out.
bluelyme, I'm sorry to hear about your sister in law. Interesting since my son had his gall bladder taken out. One of the things they did in trying to find the culprit. It never fixed it but he's minus the gall bladder now.
Will definitely tell him to look into the hcl and enzymes since that is one I don't believe he has tried.
I don't know if the parasite testing was done, but I've always heard that the testing isn't very reliable anyway. Must like the lyme tests.
