Hi, thanks.
No, its like if you look at a reflection glare from a shiny object, like a car windshield, and the bright glare stays with you for a few hours.

Have you seen an eye doctor? That's the first step. I would call first thing Monday morning.

There are other variables yet it's important to have a doctor look first in case it's an urgent situation.

That it is in one eye, in a certain spot really seems to call for a doctor's visit. Tell them when you call the symptoms and they may want to see you tomorrow.

If you have a LLMD, you might ask their office manager to suggest someone who might be somewhat lyme aware so as to understand the many ways eyes for someone dealing with lyme can be more sensitive than in the typical patients they see.

Yet, even if not LL, they can look at the eye structure for a magnified exam.

Beyond that, magnesium &/ or mangosteen juice often help.

This holistic doctor's site and his book are excellent:

Definitely call your Opthalmologist and explain what is going on and they should want to see you tomorrow. Even if you call an Opthalmologist that you haven't already seen, they'll probably want to see you tomorrow. Your eyes are important.

Please let us know what the eye doctor says. Hope it goes well. And it should be an actual doctor, an ophthalmologist - not someone down at the mall eyeglass shoppe.

Difference between an Ophthalmologist, Optometrist and Optician

. . . An ophthalmologist — Eye M.D. — is a medical or osteopathic doctor who specializes in eye and vision care. . . .

Thank you so much. I have had these in the past, and soon an opthamologist for this reason. They found nothing. Then I had an MRI done and everything looked normal. This was before I had a Lyme positive WB. Since then I always assumed this was lyme thing. So I am surprised no one has a similar symptom.

jep1978...

I would still get checked out by an ophthalmologist to be sure, but this sounds very much like an "Optical Migraine".

You can Google search it to compare your symptoms...

My eyes were checked out by a neuro-ophthalmologist, who found nothing wrong even though I had lots of eye symptoms. Then my chiropractor suggested I try drinking mangosteen juice, and all eye symptoms stopped in 24 hours!

I never had the symptom you're describing, but it might be worth a try. We're all different regarding what we respond to.

I drink the Mango-Xan version as it's the most tart. It's found in health food stores and online. I drink around an ounce a day.
