Hey everyone. I'm writing because I'm experiencing some really bad pain in the middle/lower portion of my back on the right side.

This has been going on for over 3 months and it doesn't get better. I also have a slight pain in my right lower rib that wraps around to the back.

I have seen massage therapists, gone to physical therapy, taken muscle relaxers...etc. and nothing seems to help.

I've had a hida scan, Mri of that area, ultrasound and there's nothing. there's muscle spasms there and they're really huge.

The massage therapist said it is really bad. Doctor wants me to get a scope now because she thinks it could be an ulcer.

I didn't know 3 months of back pain could be an ulcer. Also, if it's an ulcer, would there be muscle spasms in that area?

Advice? Could this be Lyme related? Please help!

I know it sounds weird but have you tried doing any anti-parasite protocols?

For some people, parasites cause alot of problems...

I haven't. I am just starting out slow and listening to my doctor.

What are the parasite protocols?

Only guessing here - my chiropractor says nerve impingement in the spine can wrap around the body.

Oh wow. Okay. I'm going to see a chiropractor next week so maybe she can help me. Thanks!

I've had back problems since I was 17 (I'm over 50 now). I also have had the rib pain. Sometimes it's called costocondroitis...

I didn't start getting rib pain until about 4-5 years ago. Not fun...

They don't know what causes it so it could be alot of things. Robin123 is correct, too. It's hard to tell.

The only time I got rid of pain was when I took anti-parasite herbs for 9 months. I haven't been able to keep up with it so my pain came back. Dealing with parasites is not easy.

You can try an herbal protocol. Parastroy is very good but there are many. It's good to start off slowly & ramp it up. It can make you quite ill if you have them. It takes time.

Doing some light stretching or chi gung, tai chi, etc. can help. Swimming helps me, too, but I don't have access to a pool right now. You can try some foam roller exercises as well. It's actually good to do a little exercise with back pain if you can tolerate it. Don't overdo it.
