I started samento, banderol and pinella Monday. By the second day, I had unbearable sinus pain, worse brain fog, trouble breathing. Much of the reaction felt very much like an allergic reaction - I am allergic to many, if not most, herbs and plants. But is this a possibility I'm herxing?

Lyme causes mcs ...through histamine reaction ...maybe filarial link

.samento and banderol .its cats claw and otoba ...ramps up immune response ..

there was a post recently about someone clearing their sensativity with parsitic meds .

ellie lobel has helped some with bvt ..i had hives 1 day from food and did bvt the next

I would go very slowly with these herbs. My LLMD always advised adding one new herb at a time with only one drop. Stay at that a few days before adding another drop or another herb.

That way, you can tell what is likely causing this reaction. It could be herxing but it could also be a that you are having a negative reaction (or allergic reaction) to the herb itself.

Be sure to look into Salicylate Sensitivity if you are sensitive to most herbs.

Here is an article about parasites and MCAD .. which involves histamine.

MCAD activated by parasites?

Yes - salicylate sensitivity is something we've considered before. I've tried avoiding sals, not sure it really helped or not, but with all the Lyme symptoms still there, it's hard to tell.

Does it make sense to quit for a few days and see what happens?

It would to me! Then begin again one at a time. Consult your doctor too.
