Hi All, I have been in treatment for lyme and bartonella for a year and a half now. I am no where near cured. We have questioned if I have babesia. I took MC-BAB-3 the past two days and had a headache in the front of my head, chills, nassau and depersonalization. I rarely have these symptoms on a normal basis. Do you think this is a sign I may have babesia? Thank you p.s. I was positive for one IGG antibody for babesia but the blood smear test was negative.

I would say you are provoking a reponse. Depersonalization was huge for me during Babesia treatment. Are you taking this product to do a challenge?

Yes, I was trying to see if I had some sort of reaction. I just am curious if these symptoms and clear cut babesia.

Does your head feel kind of like it's bobbing or does your head feel like there is pressure in it? Are you having sweats, air hunger, low fevers, dizziness, off balance feeling or increased weepiness and depression?
Headaches can be specific to babesia. The above symptoms are more classic babesia like symptoms.

I have been treating lyme and bartonella for four years with no success. I had never experienced any babesia symptoms and my Igenex test in 2012 was negative for babesia. I had several LabCorp tests which were negative with the last one in August 2016. I took a month of cryptolepis and artemisia annua starting in September and I had symptoms I had never experienced-back of skull headache, head pressure, ear fullness, stiff neck, rib pain, crying, and chest tightness that scared me. My LLMD ordered another Igenex test and in November 2016 it was positive for both babesia microti and babesia duncani. I am now treating babesia and I am hoping that this is what has been stopping my success with bartonella and lyme treatment.

That's actually very common, Stumpy. The negative tests, the showing up after a trial run of treatment and the holding back of progress.

I don't think an adverse reaction to herbs is necessarily diagnostic. You could have babs but I've had insane reactions to all kinds of things and sometimes it just meant my body was flipping out. In fact in two years it's been impossible for me to tell all along whether I was herxing or sick from all the stuff I was putting in myself.

Yes I agree and think it really is not a good tool. However, given that the testing is not accurate. What tools do we really have. I was totally negative for bartonella but found it in my blood with 21 day PCR from galaxy. Totally negative for lyme, but am responding to antibiotics strongly. Totally negative for babesia but....

My night sweats went away after being treated for Babs. Like right away. So bizarre, but I'm glad. They sucked.
