why the heck arent doctors looking at phage therapy? I mean a virus that infects the bacteria, that would be the best, id say, if the antibiotics fail then the bacteria usually build up resistence to that instead, and then you hammer them with this and most of the time, they all die off, even the toughest can be brought down. -

btw that is a pic of the phages taking over the cell, a is basically as its destroying and reproducing, b is when its all ready to break out and infect more (i think someone could modify the virus to destroy the endotoxins even, with the proper geneticist)

Supposedly they have it in russia ....sounds like trading a rat problem for a snake problem or vice versa ...

I have wondered about the same thing.

And when the bacteria is killed off the virus can't replicate anymore. Probably would be safer than a Lyme vaccine, ha. Can't wait to see what happens with the 21st Century Cures Act.

I don't think they can do it. I remember way off in the beginning looking at Russian phage therapy. There is something about spirochetes that resist phages; otherwise you bet there would be one for syphilis.

after the virus would replicate inside of the body, there would be more, possibly widespread throughout if you would get bitten a second time, the phage would be right there to attack

the fda cant aprove it because its not alive, and its not just a drug, sort of thing, there isnt a propper department for developing it
