I realize treatment is the only thing that will cure air hunger. But, will oxygen help the suffocating symptom?

It doesn't help mine. I do mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
You need Babesia treatment to help that, unless it is caused by a different reason.

Thank you foxy loxy. Definitely need treatment. I'd like to know if anything would help the air hunger symptoms.
Can't get hyperbaric treatment due to seizure activity.

Yes, supplemental oxygen does help me with the air hunger. Of course, treatment is the thing to get rid of it. Although, I've never gotten to that place. I have an oxygen concentrator.

Did your oxygen saturation rate show low oxygenation before supplementation?

Mine was me hyperventilating. I was tested for asthma prior to my Lyme diagnosis because of the terrible air hunger and my sister has asthma.
Breathing into a paper bag or exhaling and waiting for 5 seconds before inhaling helped me.

Here is a good link on air hunger. I am helped by Artemisinin Stephen Buhner's book on Babesia has some good recommendations.
