Hi everyone! Coming to you all for help. Herxing badly, 6 weeks into treatment and I haven't done any detoxing yet. Must do asap.

Can't use any Vit C, lemon, sauna or added salt. Have nonstop severe GERD, nausea and constipation.

Want to order some of things listed fir Lyme/Bart
detox...burbur/pinella, dandelion drops, charcoal, milk thistle,
Etc, but afraid may irritate my stomach with more reflux, nausea, constipation?

Is anyone aware of these detox methods that seem to be easier on the stomach? I don't have enough money to just buy
so many things, without having a little idea if they bother anyone else, stomach wise?

Any experiences or opinions would be so helpful. My LLMD says see an alternative dr. Can't afford one.

Much appreciation. Best of health to all💞

Do you have access to a sauna where you can sweat?

Coffee enema helps a lot.

Epson salt baths help too.

Aloe inner leaf liquid soothes the stomach and also promotes bowel movements.

I'm not sure if this would bother your GERD situation but one can chug a qrt of water with a pinch of sea salt in it to get the bowels moving and that helps detoxing quite a bit.

(If one has congestive heart failure then I wouldn't drink that much water.)

Standard Process Okra Pepsin would be a good choice for the stomach and bowels.

Best of luck!

Lookup,

Thanks so much for your suggestions. Unfortunately, very heat intolerant with POTS, so have to avoid saunas. Perhaps, could
try epson salt with the foot soaks? Have mobility issues, afraid of falling using bath.

I drink gallons of water/day with small amount of trace element
Minerals in it. But will check out the Standard Process product
you mentioned.

Thanks again!

You are welcome!

Great you are drinking plenty of water. It's the chugging of the qrt of water, in one go (of course, one has to breathe!), that pushes through the bowel content.

All the best to you!

Per Dr. H., glutathione opens up the detox pathways. He gives each of his patients an IV glut push when they come in the office. Most say it is like a shot of happiness. They would pay for it every day.

Your doc has to prescribe these for you. Next best is glutathione suppositories. They are also an Rx.

Then, if your stomach can handle it, take Alka Seltzer Gold with lemon or lime squeezed into it. You can do this as often as 4 times per day. You may have to eliminate the lemon/lime.

This is not expensive, so give it a try. You may have to call around to various pharmacies to find one that has it. If you can't find it, just use baking soda.

From Dr. H:

For Herxheimer reactions: 2 Alka-Selzer Gold (no aluminum) in 8 ounces of water with lemon or lime followed by 6-8 capsules of glutathione (Essential Pro) or 1500 mg of oral liposomal glutathione.

70% will feel better in hours

Lemon and lime are natural cleansers of the body.

Wow, I have sympathy for you with severe gerd. I had that too (had to sleep in a chair after I went of prilosec). If I were you I would work on the gerd too by healing your stomach. DGL, oatmeal, honey. Oatmeal sucks the acid out of your stomach. I used to take a tablespoon of cooked oatmeal before bed, then a teaspoon of honey.

Honey heals the stomach. So does mastic gum. Zinc too. Work on it and things will get better for your tummy. Until then, I would do coffee enemas. Coffee enemas work in 15 or 20 minutes and your free from feeling horrible. :)

Also dry skin brushing, clay baths for deep detox (still coffee enemas rule).

Put the head of your bed on some wooden planks/blocks. I did that when was first dxed w/gerd. I'm now off of the prevacid though. But I still get acid sometimes.

Milk thistle gave me reflux, every time I tried it.
Charcoal caused constipation...one dose and I couldn't go for three days!

For the GERD and the constipation, there are a few do-it-yourself things to try.
Stop antibiotics for two or three days and see if the GERD improves.
If it does, let your LLMD know, and see what he says.

For constipation, try a stool softener, like Colace.
I bought the store brand.

You seem to be in the same boat as me with the stomach, gerd and Pots.

Are you being treated for lyme or yeast?

My gerd was so bad that I was desperate and tried prilosec even though I didn't want to.

That made everything much worse, including my stomach and gerd.

Because of that I started thinking I had low stomach acid and added HCL.

My stomach and gerd did better with adding acid rather than an antacid.

I am treating dysbyosis and yeast and it seems the more antifungals I get in me the worse my stomach and gerd is.

Im guessing it is from die off and Hope Im right.

Ive also eaten tums extra strength by the bottle full trying to figure this out and time never helped at all and again may have made things worse.

Consider maybe you have yeast in your esophagus and stomach and gut.

I have had a problem with charcoal and constipation but I now take one capsule in the morning and at night each time with one serving of raw macadamia nuts and that keeps things moving.

I do feel better when taking the charcoal with the nuts.

Nac by solgar and also molybdenum help my stomach, sometimes as quick as ten minutes I can notice a difference.

I use IV glutathione, alka selzer gold, lemon water, epsom salt baths, foot detox baths, sauna (I see you couldn't do that.)

I haven't had GERD, but I've had HORRIBLE problems with my stomach.

I've found 100% alo vera juice to be quite healing. It's also helpful to keep things moving.

Also, I use to use slippery elm.

I would buy it organic in powder form. I would make a tea out of it. Sometimes I would put in a little mint extract.

It's a little weird to get use to at first, but after a while, I actually looked forward to it.

It is very soothing.

Yes, my lyme doc suggests aloe vera to heal the stomach. Buy cold-pressed 100% aloe vera. It is sold in health food stores as a digestive aid and health food. It soothes the irritation caused by GERD.

A friend of mine (got rid of lyme) said it solves her stomach issues.
