What medications are you on? Some can cause these problems. Doxy can cause problems if you go out in the sun.
Also, while folks have lyme, they often get skin rashes or hives to numerous things. I got hives to numerous antibiotics, my hormone replacement (like a birth control) pill, various anti-inflammatory meds etc.
Now that I am rid of lyme, I no longer get these "allergic" reactions to these meds.
So, just know that having lyme will often cause these types of reactions, but once you get rid of the lyme, you will be fine.
It seems that the body reacts to many things because it is at "high alert" due to the lyme and coinfections.
I once had hives for 4 months straight. Very uncomfortable.
I finally changed my hormone replacement pill from a combo pill to 2 individual pills and the hives stopped. So, I was reacting to a filler in my original prescription.
A dermatologist pinpointed that particular med as the most likely cause of my hives and he was right.

Confirmed lyme 2009. I believe most of my sickness is from bart. Shins, feet, twitching, burning skin, etc.
Weird thing is, I started having these issues before I restarted meds 4 wks ago. Had entire legs on fire, rash down inner thighs, dry skin patches here and there (didn't itch).
The day I went to llmd, I had livedo up and down my arms and legs with flat round circles and some raised bumps and face on fire (ears, cheek bones, eyebrow ridge)
Started meds, face was doing fine until 3 days ago and last night..oh! wow!
Just never had skin issues like this everywhere I look there are the petechiae, and round (pencil top eraser size circles) they don't itch just there.
Oh, and since started meds, major sinus issues and aching behind the eyes.

Yes, bart is famous for various types of rashes and skin manifestations.
And, Biaxin can cause itching and rashes:
"Less serious side effects may include: •upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea; •unusual or unpleasant taste in your mouth; •tooth discoloration; •headache; •mild itching or rash; "
•discoloration of your skin or nails, •skin rash or itching, •mouth sores, •swollen tongue, •discoloration of your gums, •cough, •increased skin sensitivity to sunlight (sunburn more easily), or •vaginal itching or discharge.
