Finally got dr in Orlando to prescribe Rocephin and tindemax. Rocephin arrives and the script reads 2 grams once daily mon wed and Friday for 6 weeks. I recall always taking Rocephin twice daily M-Fri

Burrascano's recommended dosage, page 16:

"Treatment with ceftriaxone is dosed at 4 grams daily- given either as 2 grams IV twice daily, or 4 grams slowly once a day, four days in a row each week, usually for 14 or more weeks"

Bless you Tcoach1. Is there any way to get to another LLMD so this is handled properly. I had to be my own doc at first too and when you are really sick- it's super hard. Seems like you could get your current doc Dr. B's guidelines at least. I will tell you the local infect. Disease doc was really offended I did that; that should have told me all I needed to know. Hang in there!

You said.. "I recall always taking Rocephin twice daily M-Fri"

And how did that work out for you?

Did the doc say he/she was going to prescribe more and didn't?

Currently...

MTHFR? Sicker starting out now than before? Take other antibiotics with the Rocephin in the past? More toxic now?

I've taken Rocephin 7 days a week- 1 gram per day. Then 7 days a week 2 grams per day.

I'm still sick.

I don't believe the Rocephin is THE one thing that will "cure" you or anyone else. I don't think blasting the drugs into you with the chance of causing some severe herxheimers and permanent damage is a good thing either.

But, that's just my opinion. Might want to give the doc a chance, or at least call and ask why (nicely) if he/she said they were doing something different than what you got.

Most of the time docs won't prescribe what patients tell them or think they need because doctors know that patients aren't the doctors, specially when you are a new patient to them.

And I am sorry you seem disappointed. Maybe focus on what you can do for now?
