I am at a loss here. This may be a bit long, but want to start from scratch. Hope you can shed some light on this.

Confirmed lyme 2009. Not tested for the B & B, but do have strong Bart issues, still.

Was doing what I call "dealable" for a good year or so (able to work).

About 6 wks. ago woke up feeling really hot from inside out. Broke out in hives down inside of thighs, got a quarter size round blotch on shoulder few days later, one on left breast, and raised smoothish patches on inner forearm ( right side).

Went to llmd, b/c widespread skin burning on legs and face horribly. Put back on mino and biaxin. (thought b/c of facial pressure skin burn, spots due to allergic reaction to bp meds.

Went off of bp meds. Dermatologist says dermatitis some kind of allergic reaction would take time. Doing allergy otc pills and itch relief lotions.

Yes, now I itch all over (not the spots just all over, and haven't take my lyme meds for a week and severe shakes during sleep periodically, feet sore, chins, shoulder pain, etc.

Scared to take those pills now. Any ideas what is happening here. Keep checking family to see if they have bumps..bugs, whatever...just me.

Am I getting sick from the lyme & co's again..Just never had skin issues other than my livedo when first sick (even that is back)

Any clues, ideas, thoughts///

Thanks to you all for being here.

Very sorry to hear this. Read through this and see if any of it fits:

Lyme can activate MCAS in those susceptible to it.

Your skin description sounds similar to what I go through. I react to contact and I've had to change everything my skin comes in contact with.

Couple questions - you say you broke out in hives before you went back on meds. Were you on a med protocol before that? If so, it could be a med reaction. I guess that's the first thing to be figured out, if this is med-related or other.

Just looked at the link Lymetoo provided - there are lots of possible triggers on that list, so I think it would be helpful if you read through it and consider if you had a certain experience before the hives started.

Were you recently exposed to any chemicals out of the ordinary?

I became chemical sensitive after a fire in which I was exposed to everything that burned. I started reacting to touching materials with chemicals in them.

Is there any possibility you're reacting to materials you're touching, including clothing?

If so, you would need to research nonallergenic clothing. I've had to make my own clothes out of sweatshirts I've ordered from Woman Within after I've soaked them extensively. There may be other companies out there too.

I also use Clearly Natural Essentials unscented soap, Bon Ami cleaning powder, and Kirkland tissues so as not to react with hives.

I'd take a look at your gut. I had SIBO and it caused histamine intolerance. Histamine intolerance makes you pretty much react to everything, it seems, and they are allergy symptoms.

I had to treat the SIBO (I used herbs) and go on a low histamine diet until the SIBO was gone. Then, only when the SIBO was gone, I slowly started building up the good bacteria in my gut again.

Ticky,

So sorry you are having this problem.

May I suggest bartonella started this mess and herxing could be what you are experiencing. Especially since the derm didn't know anything (they typically don't).

This "Ask The Experts" post may help. Sounds a lot like you.

Things I would try topically:

- Urea lotion like Excipial U4 or U10

or

- Neem oil mixed 1:5 with refined coconut oil
* DrAdorable brand on Amazon is excellent

edit: these will help with itching and the neem may help clean it up

Sixgoofykids, what herbs did you use to treat SIBO?
