Anyone done this urine test? It's not cheap($525)so would like to get the most accurate tests possible.

The instructions say it doesn't matter what time of day you take the sample. Not sure how that could be when urine is much more concentrated in the morning, or if heat/exercise increases the toxins released from fat cells, that I should be up awhile before doing it.

Just wondering what you did if you did the test.

thanks

My doc had me only drink like a tiny amount of water 24 hours before I took this. I can't remember how much. I think like only 3 cups in 24 hours. THat way what I urinated was super concentrated. I also took glutathione capsules for a week before.

My test came back sky high.

I'm not a doc. This is not advice. I'm just telling you what I did. Do it at your own risk.

yeah, they usually have their patients do glutathione also, but it wires me.

Are you doing better now?

I did it... twice.

First test came back positive on all three mycotoxins.

After blowing antifungals up my nose a year...(not fun) I retested and was negative on one and higher in another???

I feel very dubious about this test. (there is a LOT of weird stuff about the founder of this test... Google it...)

But, I have heard of some people feeling better doing the Brewer Protocol (which is blowing antifungals up your nose.)

I felt ZERO difference and felt it a waste of time effort and money... but I am not saying it would be for everyone.

So then what? How can they help you?

Are you asking me Lymetoo? Not sure what you are asking, but that is the odd part of the testing.

Not sure there is a clear answer on how to get rid of mold mycotoxins...

I only lived in a moldy environment for a year, but still tested pretty high a year after.

Dr. Joseph Brewer thinks you can get a fungal infection in your body that won't go away till you somehow try to eliminate it with antifungals.

He usually thinks it gets in the sinuses, hence the blowing of antifungals up the nose... UGH!

do you think taking binders would make the test more or less accurate?

I was just asking in general .. so we find out we have mycotoxins (who doesn't?) .. What is done about it?

$525 is a chunk of money!

dogmom2,

Here is a link that converses about this test and Dr. Joseph Brewer's protocol.

You may find the answers to some questions you may have on it, or you could ask ifish. He seems to know a LOT about it and has found the protocol to be helpful for himself and one of his daughters.

He is very nice and seems willing to answer questions as well.

All the best!

My doc had me use first of the morning, but not the very first drop, if you will.

I took it twice, first results were super high, a year later, results were much lower for all of them. (Yes, things were being done in that time period to potentially address the issue.)

I just took the realtime urine mycotoxin test. It cost me $699. I am glad that I got the test, as I have lived in multiple mold contaminated houses and started to relapse this winter. Now I know why.

According to the test I am highly positive for all 4 common mycotoxin's. At a level that is too high to be explained by food ingestion.

I haven't gone over treatment plans yet as I am currently working on making sure my home is successfully remediated and cleaned, but I know my doctor does not do those nasal sprays. I'm very leeery of a lot of so-called 'mold doctors.'

I have heard nothing but good things about the real time testing, but you need a doctor that is experienced with interpreting the test.
